After a long hiatus I have a new version tonight. This version adds growl support. It is probably the last version that will run on 10.4.

DailyLogger.0.3.11.zip

Here is the much belated new version. It has a few new features.

A more minimal interface
Export data to a fixed-width text file
Window position is now saved
Fixed minor bugs with window sizes

DailyLogger.0.2.10.zip

I’ve recently switched jobs and have been active in getting my first release there. I apologize for the delay and will try to get the next build of DailyLogger out ASAP.

In the meantime, you can still access your data through the SQLite file that is generated by the application. As the image above demonstrates it should be located at ~/Library/Application Support/DailyLogger/DailyLogger.sqlite.

Now that you know the location of the SQLite file you can directly access your data. I would make a backup of the file though before doing so. The easiest way I found is a free SQLite manager called SQLite Database Browser. If you don’t mind spending some money you can try SQLiteManager.

If you are super ambitious you can use the command line and access the file through the sqlite3 command. I wont go into details, but here is some information to get you started at the SQLite.org site or at this man page.

Using either technique the table you will want to look into is “ZDLLOGENTRY”. This is where all your data is at.

I will try to address the changes you have requested ASAP. I got quite a lot of excellent feedback from comments on the previous blog entry as well as email. I plan to work on the following features first:

Auto save window position
Export data to some common formats
Window ‘minimalism’
